A super duper independent film made in the streets of NYC. Starring Elizabeth Baker and an ensemble of boys. Watch how they play her…
She’s a teen girl in Flatbush learning the hard way that the boys are not about it.
Elizabeth Baker in the leading role of Ella, she’s 17 about to go to college and absolutely not ready for the boys.
Josh Krol as the lead “anti-romantic” lead Elliott, a young adult man with a “job” And joint. We don’t know what he’s got going on.
Jelani T. Kelly auditioned for the role of Jelani because that’s his name and got it because he’s an actor… the one in the movie. Or at least he’s trying.
F@#$ Boys is an independent feature film (2hrs) written and directed by Dilenia Rodriguez and produced by creative director Kara Fan. It follows the coming-of-age story of a teenage girl named Ella (played by Elizabeth Baker), who may be a little oblivious to the realities of dating during the current F@#$ Boy phenomenon. The movie explores some of the classic archetypes of the F—-boys that a girl may have to confront, the perverted family member, the best guy friend who is “one of the good ones”. Through it all Ella must face the circumstances of being a young black woman, weather she likes it or not. She will be chased, used and abused then left, over and over, until things get a little too real… Then she has to find her people, her friends and the inner voice of reason to give her the strength to move past the toxic relationships.
Montay Savoy plays the role of Carlos who spends too much time on his phone browsing who knows what, but it can’t be good for how he sees the women in his life.
Soulo Smith as TBD – Tall Basketball Dude, one villain we couldn’t name for fear we might get sued.
Rob Seiguer plays Dean a delightfully oblivious classic pothead fboy type, we won’t spend too much time talking about him.

All purchases of items, event tickets and donations to the project – go directly to funding the distribution efforts for this film and to pay the people involved in the project.
After a seemingly endless post-production process – filled with set-backs, dealing with the strike of 2023, an industry wide recession in 2024 – the F234 team has finally gathered all the pieces for the first full cut of the F@#$ Boys movie. So, we are starting to test screen it in a small screening space in Brooklyn, NY.
The goal for these small screenings is to provide us with the insight to finalize the F@#$ Boys film cut and package it for film festivals. Additionally, we are hoping that these small test screenings will help us raise funds to market the film and host a larger premiere screening event in NYC. Fundraising is meant to help us distribute the film to film festivals and platforms worldwide.
In these exclusive events we want to cultivate a conversation about the film and the topics it presents. In this way we grow our community and incorporate them in the process.

Writer, Director, Producer and Editor – Dilenia Rodriguez talks about the F@#$ Boys Movie Project, how it came to be and the project’s overall trajectory.
From the start our production practice has been intentional about changing the way movie productions incorporate diversity in its execution.
We didn’t set out to make just any movie, we wanted to practice a conscious inclusion of diverse talented individuals. We aim to reflect the type of production practice we want to see. In casting and crew selection, not just going for the standard choices – but allowing people to show up and contribute in their manner.
This wasn’t just any kind of set either. We had open auditions in New York City, calling on an ensemble of people from all different backgrounds- and they showed out.
We intentionally made the casting process transparent and fair, with members of the crew taking notes of the performances and those auditioning being able to see how their fellow actors performed the lines of the script.
It’s important for us to demonstrate that independent projects can be a benefit to even those who don’t end up in the final film. This is the director’s way of humanizing the auditions process. It’s a low budget film, we didn’t want to have people tape themselves alone in a room reading off sides of the script. We wanted to meet them and give them the opportunity to workshop their audition with others.

The stories that inspired the F@#$ boys script took place between 2012 and 2018, however, writer Dilenia Rodriguez didn't start conceptualizing this project until 2018 when she moved to Brooklyn and working for a small production company in Manhattan. It took 3 years of drafting and workshopping the script, which was completed in 2021. By 2022 a production plan was developed and pre-production had been calculated.
Shoot
Principal Photography happened throughout the Summer of 2022, mainly in Flatbush Brooklyn with other neighborhood locations in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. We wrapped on filming in October of 2022, by then we had built a community around the project.
Edit
The post production process has been slow and challenging. We ran into difficulty when the industry slowed down, however we were able to find our people for art and music. We ran a fundraising campaign and continued to incorporate our blossoming production company. In spring 2025 we finally had a full draft of the film and we can't wait to start showing it.
